Spend your day off from school at the Gardens exploring the amazing world of plants. We’ll fill each day with garden explorations, games, activities, projects and take-home gardens.

Diary of a Worm Mini Camp
Monday Feb. 21, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Investigate the life of a worm - find out what they do all day and how they help plants. Build a special worm bin in which to take some of your new friends home.

Bookbinding Workshop

Bind a book yourself! Learn how to bind a traditional hardcover spring-back ledger book suited for botanical art or journaling. All elements of this book are acid-free and archival and can last for centuries.
Cost: $320 member, $373 non-member. Fee includes goat skin, cloth, paper, board, linen thread for one book and sewing tools.

Color Mixing Journal
Sat., Feb. 12, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Denver Botanic Gardens at York Street
Learn the craft of Coptic binding as you make your own journal for mixing colors. Create a custom cover with your own decorative papers. Beginning with specially printed watercolor, learn to assemble paper signatures, align the spine, and stitch your beautifully bound journal. In just one day, create a lasting color journal for color mixing.
Cost: $100 member, $$125 non-member. Fee includes paper, color mixing templates, archival glue, Davey board for one journal and needles for sewing.
