Nature Connects: Art with LEGO® Bricks
Sean Kenney's third exhibit at Lauritzen Gardens features some fantastic NEW pieces, including a proud peacock, a giant dragonfly, and a not so itsy-bitsy spider, as well as a couple of old favorites. Inspired by nature and built from more than 450,000 LEGO® pieces, this indoor exhibit features 14 displays with larger-than-life sculptures that represent the web of incredible connections that sustain life on Earth.
Girls' Day: Japanese Doll Exhibit
In honor of the Japanese celebration of Hinamatsuri, also called Doll’s Day or Girls’ Day, discover a vast set of ornamental Imperial dolls, or hina-ningyo, representing the Emperor, Empress, attendants and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period (A.D. 794 - 1185) on display.
Art Exhibit: Artists' Cooperative Gallery
The Artists’ Co-op has been showing the work of respected regional artists for 40 years. This cooperative group of artists will showcase botanically-inspired works in a wide variety of media, including sculpture, weaving, painting, pottery, photography, printmaking, glass, jewelry and drawing.
